Direct Cremations

Sometimes, it maybe the wishes of the Deceased or their family that no funeral service should take place before the cremation. It may mean there is no attendance for any number of reasons and this would mean no family, friends or officiant attending To allow this we do have the option of a ‘Direct Cremation’.

As you will see below, there is an option to attend our chapel of rest prior to the cremation to say your goodbyes for an additional cost.

Direct Cremation Service £1400  

This is an unattended service, with no family, friends or minister attending the crematorium

The price includes:

• The completion of all the paperwork for the cremation to take place, and advice and support to the family with this paperwork.
• The care of the Deceased until the cremation takes place.
• The provision of a white gown and a simple coffin.
• If required- the payment of the doctor’s fee (at present 1 x £82)
• The return of the Ashes to the client in the Crematorium Urn within 3 weeks of the cremation taking place.  A different urn may be purchased at an additional cost.

Direct Cremation Service with visit to the Chapel of Rest £1900

If you feel that you would like to offer your family the chance to have a chapel visit (this can also include dressing the deceased in their own clothes), this service would be £1900.  This means that you can still have a Direct Cremation Service, but with the chance for the family to have time in our Chapel of Rest to say goodbye privately before the unattended service takes place.

We will of course be in contact with any family member or person responsible during the arrangements and our care and attention will not differ from any other service.
